Q.What is CallerTunes?
A.CallerTunes is an easy-to-use service packed with brand new features that's let's you discover and play your favorite songs to callers instead of the bo-ring-ring sound they hear when they wait for you to answer. Choose from thousands of songs and status messages or add a personal touch and record your own. Songs can be used for up to 1 year. The Primary Account Holder can add or remove CallerTunes on My T-Mobile. Keep in mind, Content Blocking will block the ability to use CallerTunes.
Q.Where Can I download the CallerTunes app?
A.CallerTunes app is free to download and is available on any iPhone or Android device. To download the app, visit the Apple App store on iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android devices.
Q.How are CallerTunes different from ringtones?
A.A CallerTune is what your callers hear when they call you instead of the standard ring. A ringtone is what you hear when your phone rings.
Q.How much do CallerTunes cost?
A.The CallerTunes service is just $3.99 per month which includes 2 free tunes of your choice every month. Additional CallerTunes are $0.99 each. CallerTunes Basic subscribers pay $1.99 for each CallerTune purchased in addition to the $1.49 monthly service fee.
Q.How can I upgrade my service?
A.To upgrade your CallerTunes service, visit the Account menu and click upgrade. Or select the quick access menu in the app and click upgrade.
Q.Do CallerTunes expire?
A.Yes, but you can renew your CallerTune by purchasing it again in the 'My Library' section of the CallerTunes app. This will extend your CallerTune for 365 days. You will be able to view the expiration date for each CallerTune before you make the purchase. Songs can only be renewed within 30 days of the content expiration date.
Q.When do my CallerTune credits refresh?
A.Your CallerTunes credits refresh at the beginning of your CallerTunes billing cycle. This is the date when you subscribed to CallerTunes and may be different from the date of your mobile phone bill. To view your credit refresh date, visit the 'Account' section of the CallerTunes app.
Q.Can I preview the CallerTune before choosing to buy it?
A.Yes. You can preview in the CallerTunes storefront at my T-Mobile. You can also preview CallerTunes in the CallerTunes app available on the Google Play or iOS App Store. Using the app, from the Store page, tap the album art on the song you want to preview. To stop, tap the same album art again. For purchases tap the Artist and Music title to bring up the Buy option
Q.What happened to my Personal Intro-Greeting? (now known as Personal Status Message)
A.Your Personal Intro-Greeting can now be found in the Status section of CallerTunes and is now called your Personal Status Message. This Personal Status Message will play before the CallerTune (music) and can be up to 10 seconds long. (Note: In some cases callers may not hear the CallerTune (music) depending on the length of your Personal Status Message.)
Q.How many CallerTunes can I have in My Library/My Collection?
A.If you have a paid CallerTunes subscription, you can add up to 100 CallerTunes in your Library. No need to choose between your favorite songs, you can collect them all!
Q.Will my CallerTunes subscription credits roll over to the next month if I do not use them in the current month?
A.No. CallerTunes monthly subscription credits can only be used in the current month. Purchased credits do not expire.
Q.How many calling party numbers can I have with my friends, family and co-worker groups?
A.Each group can support up to 10 unique group members.
Q.How can I find out how many CallerTune credits I have left?
A.CallerTunes credits are only applicable to specific subscription plans. On your device, navigate to the account section of your CallerTunes app to see how many credits are remaining. If accessing on the web via My-Tmobile.com, navigate to CallerTunes Overview to view your available credits.
Q.Can I still buy a CallerTune if I don't have any CallerTunes subscription credits?
A.Yes, additional CallerTunes purchases cost between $0.99 - $1.99.
Q.How do I assign certain CallerTunes to a specific caller?
A.You can set up groups in the CallerTunes People section and assign a certain CallerTune to a specific caller.
Q.What is the People page?
A.The People page lists what Caller Groups you have and what CallerTunes are assigned to them.
Q.What is My Library?
A.My Library is a list of the CallerTunes you have purchased. From here you can preview your CallerTunes, renew, or delete them.
Q.What is the Default CallerTune?
A.The Default CallerTune plays for all your callers not assigned to specific Caller Groups. For example, a stranger would hear your Default CallerTune. But if someone in your Friends Group called, they would hear the CallerTune you have chosen to play for your friends.
Q.What are Groups?
A.The Groups setting lets you set CallerTunes to play for the individuals you choose, every time they call you. You can set up three different groups, assign a custom name to each and select CallerTunes to play for each one.
Q.I don't want my boss to hear music, can I still play the default ring sound when he/she calls?
A.Yes, but first you will need to ensure that your boss has been added as one of your contacts. Once he/she has been added, simply assign the default ring sound to that person.
Q.What is the Intro-Greeting?
A.The Intro-Greeting is a message that is played before your CallerTune.
Q.Can I move the CallerTunes on my current phone to a new cell phone?
A.Yes. CallerTunes are attached to your phone number, not your mobile phone.
Q.I changed my phone number, can I keep using CallerTunes?
A.CallerTunes will still work as long as you did not move to another mobile carrier. CallerTunes is only supported on T-Mobile and MetroPCS.
Q.What is CallerTunes status?
A.CallerTunes lets you take sharing your status to another level. Choose pre-recorded status messages for your callers...or record your own! Stuck in a meeting? Driving? Enjoying a concert? Let your friends 'hear' your status before you answer!
Q.How long can my Personal Status Message be?
A.Your Personal Status Message can be up to 10 seconds long.
Q.What if I don't want the CallerTunes service anymore?
A.You can de-activate your CallerTunes service by visiting My T-Mobile. When you cancel CallerTunes, your CallerTunes and your personal profile will be permanently deleted and your callers will hear the default ring again. Note* Deleting the CallerTunes app will not unsubscribe you from the CallerTunes service.
Q.What is Shuffle?
A.The Shuffle feature enables your callers to hear CallerTunes chosen at random from your selection of purchased CallerTunes. To exclude 'free' content from being shuffled, visit the Settings page and disable 'Shuffle Free Songs'.
Q.How Do I Record My Own Voice Status?
A.Want to add a personal touch to every call? Navigate to the Status page of the CallerTunes app and select Record Your Status. A popup of a microphone will appear. Simply click the record button icon to begin recording your 10 second voice status. Click the SAVE button - Voila! You now have a saved recording that you can play back to your callers while they wait for you to pick up. *Note: Status recording capability is only supported via CallerTunes app. Feature not supported on Windows devices.
Q.How do I create a Playlist?
A.To create a Playlist, go to the 'People' section of CallerTunes and select the 'Create Playlist' button. Enter a Playlist name and choose songs to add to your Playlist.
Q.How many Playlists can I create?
A.You can create up to 3 Playlists
Q.How many songs can I add to my Playlist?
A.You can add up to 10 songs for each Playlist which will play at random.

If you cancel your CallerTunes subscription, you will no longer have access to any purchased CallerTunes song clips and any unused song credits will expire.
When you purchase or use CallerTunes clips with the App, the CallerTunes clip is licensed to you by T-Mobile and may be subject to additional license terms between you and the creator/owner of the CallerTunes clip. Any CallerTunes clip you purchase is licensed only for personal, lawful, non-commercial use on your T-Mobile mobile device and for playback to your callers. You may not transfer, copy, or reverse engineer any content, or alter, disable or circumvent any digital rights management security features utilized in the CallerTunes application.
By downloading and using the App, you consent to T-Mobile's periodic review of the CallerTunes song clips in your CallerTunes account, your prior T-Mobile purchases and service elections, for the purpose of making more relevant CallerTunes recommendations. This information may be retained as long as deemed relevant for purposes of supporting the App and your CallerTunes subscription. In addition, T-Mobile may retain, use, and share information collected when you purchase CallerTunes song clips or use the App, may update the App or your CallerTunes account profiles remotely, and may disable or remove the App from your device at any time.
T-Mobile is not responsible for any third party content or website you may be able to access using your device. You may encounter advertisements from other entities ("Third Party Ads") while you are using the App on your device. Playlists (Sep 8th, 2016)
By popular demand, Playlists are back! Create up to 3 customized Playlists with songs of your choosing to play for your callers and groups.
Preview (Sep 8th, 2016)
We listened! Check out our new and improved preview functionality. To preview songs, all you need to do now is tap on the album art for the song you like. Tap on it again to stop the preview.
To buy, simply tap on Artist and Track title.
Shuffle (Jan 26th, 2016)
Can't decide what to play to your callers? Select Shuffle to play CallerTunes chosen at random from your CallerTunes Library. If you want to exclude 'free' songs from being shuffled, visit the Settings page and disable 'Shuffle Free Songs'.
Assigning Music + Default CallerTune
Assign music to your callers and groups and select a Default CallerTune from the 'People' page. Select an existing contact or add a new person and customize settings for that person. Follow the same steps to create a group of people.
Personal Status Message (formerly known as Personal Intro-Greeting)
This feature is now called 'Personal Status Message' and can be accessed via the 'Status' page.
Your Personal Status Message can be up to 10 seconds long and will play before your CallerTune.
(Note: Callers may not hear music depending on the length of your Personal Status Message recording)
Sometimes you just want to share what you are up to! Choose a status message to play to callers instead of music.
Choose from hundreds of status messages from the Status Store and tap START NOW to play.
Deleting a CallerTune
To delete or remove a CallerTune that you have purchased, go to Menu and visit My Library.
Tap the song or status message that you would like removed and tap 'Delete' (Note: Once deleted, you will need to purchase this item again).
My Library (formerly known as My Collection)
To access CallerTunes and status messages that you have purchased, tap the Menu button and visit My Library.
There you will be able to renew or delete purchased items.
